Variant principle in SAP is very
popular. It is very easy to operate. For use it as follows
1)
Create a variant/maintain variant/define variant
2) Maintain it with values
3)
Assign it to objects
here i am going to discuss about fiscal year variant
In general fiscal year nothing but financial year (accounting year) of legal entity (like .Govt. eg.USA.UK)
